Ethically sourced, cultivated & wildcrafted herbal remedies from the heart of the Kickapoo River Valley, Wisconsin Driftless

Bioregional herbalism practice rooted in reciprocity, the wisdom of plants, our bodies and the earth’s.

Practicing with intention

At Solidago Botanicals, our intention is to deepen literacy, awareness & connection with our plant kin in the hope of remembering & cultivating the integral relationships between our bodies & the living world.

Our herbal remedies are consciously formulated with whole, medicinal plants that we grow on our 20 acre farmstead, Finn Skoga Farm, or that grow wild in abundance in the Wisconsin Driftless. Each formula is inspired by seasonal living and carefully formulated from my knowledge of holistic herbalism and integrative health & nutrition.

About the herbalist

I’m Shelby (she/her), a bioregional community herbalist, forager & gardener. For nearly a decade, I’ve allowed my curiosity of plants & healing to take the lead and began this practice of growing, gathering & engaging with the land I’m living on. In addition to creating slow, seasonal, small-batch herbal products, I offer gardening consultations, maintenance, design & installation to residents and businesses in Vernon County.

My values as an herbalist are rooted in the wisdom of our bodies, our cyclical nature, integrative wellness, ancestral awareness and connecting with the land & communities we touch. My intention is to be a conduit between plants & people, creating a bridge to help you find the plant allies most supportive to you as a bio-individual being.

My partner and I live in the Kickapoo River Valley, Driftless Region of Wisconsin with our Australian Shepard, Boone, our three cats, four goats, six sheep & several rabbits. We practice regenerative farming methods on our 20 acre farmstead, Finn Skoga Farm, inhabiting the traditional lands of the Kickapoo & Ho-Chunk peoples, surrounded by hills & native wetland prairie, right along the Kickapoo River.
